Steveston Rotary and COVID-19

Service Above Self

When Paul Harris, an attorney, formed the Rotary Club of Chicago on the 23rd of February 1905, his intent was to bring together business professionals from all walks of life so that they could exchange ideas and form meaningful life long, mutually beneficial relationships. Over time, Rotary’s reach and vision gradually extended to humanitarian service. Since the early days, Rotarians have accumulated a long track record of addressing challenges in their communities and around the world. From curing polio to providing clean drinking water, there has never been a shortage of projects for us to get behind.

Today, we all face a health crisis that most of could never even imagine. There has never been a more critical time for everyone on the planet to come together and tackle the immediate danger we all face, as well as prepare for the aftermath once we’re finally past it. Each of us has a part to play. Every small action makes a difference. Take a look at the positive impact we’ve made each day as we step out on our porches at 7 pm to support our front-line health providers and emergency responders.

Here at the Rotary Club of Steveston we’ve tried our very best to focus our attention on our local community. These are the every day people and businesses that have supported us throughout the years. Without that support, we wouldn’t have been able to do all the community outreach that makes up the core of our value as Rotarians. To that end, we encourage everyone in Richmond to support our local business partners during their time of need. The businesses listed below have been key supporters of our Rotary over the years. If you aren’t able to support them financially by ordering online, or buying gift cards, at least send them a note to let them know you care about the impact they’ve had in our lives. These folks need to know we’re here for them.
